In the spirit of celebrating Vietnamese Women’s Day, on the afternoon of October 20th, 2023, BIDV – SuMi TRUST Financial Leasing Company (BSL) organized a talk show titled “Gender Equality at Workspace” with the participation of Guest Speaker Prof. Dr. Vu Cong Giao, Director of Research Center for Human and Citizen’s Rights (CRIGHTS), University of Law – Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

In pursuit of sustainable development goals, BSL organized a Talkshow with Guest Speaker Prof. Dr. Vu Cong Giao, Director of Research Center for Human and Citizen’s Rights (CRIGHTS), University of Law – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on the topic of “Gender Equality in the Workplace” – one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

The discussion focused on the role of women and the challenges they face in the workplace. Important issues related to gender equality in the workplace, such as the gender pay gap, career advancement opportunities, and work-life balance, were addressed during the talk show at BSL. With knowledge and experience in promoting gender equality, Guest Speaker Vu Cong Giao helped the staff at BSL gain a better understanding of the sustainable values that gender equality brings to the business.

The talk-show was an opportunity to spread the message about the importance of gender equality and to honor the contributions of women in the workplace. It also called for the establishment of a more equal working environment, where people are evaluated fairly and have equal opportunities for career development.

Overall, Vietnamese Women’s Day and the talk show “Gender Equality in the Workplace” provided an opportunity to honor and discuss the role of women in work, along with the challenges and opportunities to build an equal and fair working environment for everyone.
