BSL Launching event on 26th of May 2017
BSL was formed through the conversion of BIDV Financial Leasing Company (BLC) – a one-member limited liability company owned by BIDV to multi-membership limited company, with Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank (SMTB) owns 49% of the charter capital.
BIDV has entered into a strategic partnership with SMTB since 2013. After careful study and preparation, BIDV and SMTB agreed to jointly establish and develop leasing business in Vietnam through BSL. The company was granted establishment and operation license No.33/GP-NHNN by the State Bank of Vietnam on 12th April 2017.
On the 26th of May 2017, the Soft opening ceremony of BSL was held at BSL Ho Chi Minh branch. In attendance at launching ceremony were Mr. Tran Dinh Cuong – Deputy Director of HoChiMinh Branch of State Bank of Vietnam, Mr. Tanaka Keiji – General Director of SuMi TRUST Panasonic Finance, Mr. Noda Masaya – General Manager of Asia Business Promotion Department of SuMiTRUST, Ms. Le Thi Kim Khuyen – BoD Member of BIDV and other representatives from management board of BIDV.
