BSL Employee Conference 2023

On March 10, 2023, the Employee Conference of BIDV-SuMi TRUST Leasing Company., Ltd. (BSL) was held with the participation of BSL Employee both in-person and online at the Head Office in Hanoi.

Complying with the labor laws in Vietnam and the BSL’s philosophy of “Human Development”, the conference reported the implementation of labor contracts and collective labor agreements in 2022, the results of trade union activities in 2022 and orientation for its activities in 2023.

2022 was a challenging year for the Vietnamese economy. Recovering from Covid-19 with many difficulties, the economy has been continuously affected by inflation and price escalation, climate change, the Russia-Ukraine war. However, 2022 turned out another opportunity for BSL to achieve the highest growth rate after 5 years of establishment. Therefore, the company and the Trade Union can ensure a stable income, good welfare for employees and guarantee the well-being life for BSL employees.

In 2022, the company implemented many advanced welfares. Regarding employees’ spiritual life, the Company and the Trade Union organized many activities to take care of the life quality of employees and their loved ones on holiday events and special occasions; organizing various social and sports activities after the epidemic to improve staff’s health.

The company always prioritizes employees’ development via training. Therefore, BSL maintains internal and external training courses with the full participation of employees. In 2022, the company organized about 50 internal training sessions, 12 external training sessions and training seminars.

Besides internal activities, BSL actively participates in social activities and charity programs such as blood donation, BIDV run, handing books to pediatric patients at Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Hospital and handing gifts to primary school pupils in Long An. These are activities under BSL’s Sustainable Development Goals and also an opportunity for Employees to participate in social activities.

The conference is a forum between Employers and Employees for Q&A about BSL’s mission, vision, plan, the rights/benefits and obligations of Employees. Here, the Employee raised some concerns which were answered satisfactorily by the Employer to harmonize the interests of each stakeholder.

On the basis of the achieved results, in 2023, the company will continue to strive to fulfill its business goals and strategy to increase welfare for their employees; improve working environment; strengthen training and skill development activities for employees; promote collective corporate social responsibility activities towards the goal of sustainable development; innovate corporate governance, corporate culture (especially focus on digital transformation). For each employee, it is necessary to raise the awareness of building a good working environment and strives to complete the mission of the company in 2023.
