In March 2025, in celebration of Youth Month, the Youth Union of BIDV-SuMi TRUST Financial Leasing Company (BSL) actively engaged in many meaningful activities to commemorate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025).

Honoring the Tradition of “When drinking water, think of its source”

Youth Month is not only a time for young people to assert and promote their proactive spirit and dedication to the community, but also an opportunity to remember and express gratitude to the previous generations, reinforcing the valuable principle of “When drinking water, think of its source”. In honor of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2025), the Youth Unions of BSL in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City organized a trip to pay tribute, remember, and express gratitude to those who contributed to the revolution.

BSL HCMB Visited and Offered Prayers at the Ton Duc Thang Museum

On March 15, 2025, the Youth Union of BSL in Ho Chi Minh City visited and paid respects at the Ton Duc Thang Museum. Here, BSL members learned about the life and career of President Ton Duc Thang, a model of frugality and resilience in the struggle for workers’ rights. The stories and artifacts in the museum not only helped the youth understand more about revolutionary history but also inspired pride and responsibility in continuing Uncle Ton’s legacy, contributing to the construction of a fair and developed society. Through this trip, the young people gained further knowledge about the importance of humanitarian values and the spirit of striving for success in modern life.

BSL DNB Visited Dien Hai Citadel on March 22, 2025

The visit to Dien Hai Citadel by the Youth Union of BSL in Da Nang on March 22, 2025, provided a profound experience, offering valuable lessons about history and patriotic traditions. Dien Hai Citadel, a special national relic, not only marks a significant site in the resistance against French colonialism by the people of Da Nang but also symbolizes the determination to maintain national independence and protect the homeland. This fortification played a crucial role in repelling the French attack on Da Nang during the years 1858–1860. The trip helped the youth members of BSL gain a deeper understanding of the sacrifices and efforts of their ancestors in preserving independence, fostering pride in their fighting tradition, and instilling a sense of responsibility to protect the nation in the current context, as well as contributing to building a sustainable and developed country in the new era.

Spreading the Green Living Spirit with the “Green Office” Initiative

In March, the youth members of BSL in Ho Chi Minh City participated together in the “Green Office” initiative by planting and caring for plants in the office. Each young member took on the responsibility of their own plant, not only to beautify the workspace but also to spread the spirit of green living to all members of BSL.

Additionally, this activity was also shared by the youth members of BSL in Ho Chi Minh City with BIDV Nam Sai Gon and BIDV Phu Nhuan through interactions with the youth unions of those branches.

This initiative is not just about planting trees; it carries a profound meaning regarding raising environmental awareness in the community. Through caring for the plants, the young people have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of green living, such as improving air quality and creating a more pleasant workspace. This small action hopes to inspire a love for nature and a sense of responsibility in everyone regarding environmental protection, ultimately contributing to building a friendly and sustainable office for all.
