On January 10, 2024, BIDV-SuMi TRUST Leasing Company Ltd. (BSL) held its 2024 Business Performance Review and 2025 Strategy Orientation under the theme “Transform – Go Beyond” alongside its annual year-end celebration. The event garnered significant attention and participation from senior leaders of BIDV at the Hanoi headquarters, with virtual connections to Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

BSL’s annual business review provided an opportunity for the entire company to reflect on the achievements of 2024, appreciate the contributions of individuals and teams, and set forth new directions and goals for 2025 with optimism and determination.

The event welcomed distinguished guests and executives from BIDV, including Mr. Pham Quang Tung, Member of the Board of Directors of BIDV and Chairman of BSL’s Members’ Council (2017-2020 term); Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Anh, Director of the Financial Institutions Division of BIDV and Chairwoman of BSL’s Members’ Council (2024 term); Mr. Vuong Thanh Long, Deputy Director of BIDV’s Capital Division and Member of BSL’s Members’ Council; along with directors of various divisions and representatives from BIDV’s departments, BSL’s Executive Board, and employees nationwide. The main event was hosted in Hanoi and streamed live to Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The year-end party in Hanoi had the honor of welcoming distinguished guests and leaders from BIDV.

2024: Overcoming Global Economic Challenges

The program began with a business recap video presented in a documentary-style format by Deputy CEO Takahashi Satoshi. Despite facing market difficulties such as unfavorable interest rate trends, increasing bad debt, and limited credit demand from small and medium-sized enterprises to make investment, BSL demonstrated resilience, ensuring stable growth.

By the end of 2024, BSL achieved an average credit growth rate exceeding 20% for the fifth consecutive year, secured its position as one of the leading financial leasing companies in Vietnam by asset size and customer volume, and maintained a safe level of non-performing loans.

Looking Ahead to 2025: Ambition for Bold Transformation

Following Mr. Takahashi Satoshi’s review, BSL employees shared their aspirations and ambitions for the upcoming year, paving the way for an inspiring narrative of transformation and progress.

CEO Nguyen Thieu Son then outlined the company’s strategic direction for 2025, delivering an impactful speech under the theme “Transform – Go Beyond.” He emphasized the necessity of transformation—not only in mindset but also in actions—shifting from simple growth to sustainable development, integrating information technology, and innovating approaches to financial leasing products and services.

BSL’s goals for 2025 include maintaining its industry leadership, achieving over 20% growth, and serving more than 1,000 customers. To meet these ambitious targets amid ongoing challenges, the CEO urged every individual within BSL to embrace change, rethink methodologies, and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

BSL Employees: The Core of Sustainable Growth

DCEO, BSL Trade Union Chairman Hoàng Văn Phúc shares insights on trade union activities over the past year.

During the event, the company’s Trade Union presented a summary of its activities, including SDG and CSR initiatives that positively impacted the community, through a short video.

Mr. Hoang Van Phuc, Deputy CEO of BSL and Chairman of the Trade Union, stated, “The support and facilitation from the leadership, combined with the enthusiasm of every BSL employee, are key to the success of our community programs and trade union activities.” He also set a goal for 2025 to strengthen the Trade Union, ensuring optimal employee welfare and expanding initiatives that contribute not only to BSL’s business success but also to sustainable societal development.

A Festive Year-End Celebration

The Year-End Party continued with the much-anticipated Video Genius Contest, which saw enthusiastic participation from multiple BSL teams of employees. This year, eight submissions showcased the theme of “Connect – Transform – Reach Further.” After a fair and thoroughly deliberated evaluation by the judging panel, the runner-up title was awarded to the GAD General Affairs team for their video on changes in administrative and human resource management processes. The team from Corporate Strategy – Cross-Selling – Business Development (CSD – CSL – BPP) secured the championship with an outstanding video showcasing the transformation of the BSL team in approaching and negotiating contracts with clients.

The event concluded with vibrant performances across all three locations, featuring talented BSL employees with a passion for music. To further engage attendees, an exciting Lucky Draw was held, with nearly 20 valuable prizes awarded to lucky winners.
