The ceremony was attended by representatives from the District Department of Education and Training, the Tan Thanh Commune People’s Committee, members of the Nuoi Em Fund, parent representatives, teachers and students. In particular, Mr. Le Xuan Ton, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training, and Mr. Vi Thanh Binh, Party Secretary of Tan Thanh Commune, were present to support and encourage the students.
Tan Thanh 2 Primary School is a small school located in a mountainous area with many difficulties. The learning conditions are still very lacking, especially in access to information technology and modern knowledge sources. Although the subject of informatics has been officially included in the curriculum from grade 3, the school does not have computer for students to practice, causing many difficulties in teaching.
According to the sharing of the teachers and representatives of the Department of Education and Training, for many years the school has not been able to meet the curriculum standards of the Ministry of Education for the Informatics subject due to the school’s inability to equip the necessary facilities. In the past, teachers and students had to go to another school for computer lab classes. To support the students and the school in the new school year, BSL collaborated with the Nuoi Em project and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union to organize the “Computer Lab for Students” program. Here, BSL donated 17 computers to Tan Thanh 2 Primary School, helping students have more opportunities to access computer and information technology knowledge.
In addition to the “Computer Lab for Students” component, with the desire to share with students who are still facing many difficulties, BSL members at the Head Office and Hanoi Branch have mobilized their families and relatives to donate a study bookshelf with over 500 diverse books, helping students have more opportunities to access a rich learning resource.
The value of sharing
Mr. Le Xuan Ton, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training, emphasized at the ceremony: “BSL’s timely support has made an important contribution to helping students at Tan Thanh 2 Primary School have the opportunity to access information technology, one of the essential skills in the digital age.”
Teacher Lang Trong Hung, the school principal, also expressed his gratitude to BSL and the members participating in the program: “This program not only helps improve learning conditions but also a source of spiritual encouragement, helping students have more motivation to strive for high academic achievement and self-improvement.”.
BSL and commitment to sustainable development
The BSL Education Development Support Project at Tan Thanh 2 Primary School is a testament to the company’s commitment to implementing a sustainable development strategy and responsibility to the community. In addition to developing its business activities, BSL is always aware and sets its own goals, defining the company’s responsibility to contribute to building a fair and developed society, where all children, even in remote and distant areas, have the equal opportunity to access quality education
