On April 20th, 2024, the management team and members of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch of BIDV-SuMi TRUST Leasing Company (BSL) carried out an education project at Hoa Tan Secondary School in Hoa Tan commune, Chau Thanh district, Dong Thap province.

Located in Chau Thanh district, the learning conditions of the 650 students at Hoa Tan Secondary School have many limitations, especially in the subject of Informatics. According to the principal of the school and the Vice Chairman of the Hoa Tan Commune People’s Committee, the school is facing difficulties in providing computers for students to practice Informatics. Currently, the school’s Informatics lab has only 23 computers, while the average class size is about 40 students. Therefore, during Informatics classes, students have to share computers (2 students per computer). This leads to ineffective Informatics practice due to the reduced computer usage time for each student.

With the purpose of supporting the students and improving the quality of education, early in the morning of April 20, 2024, the BSL HCM members set out to Hoa Tan Secondary School and carried out the BSL Education Project 2024, which included sponsoring 15 computers for the Informatics lab, sponsoring 100 reference books for the school library, and providing 30 scholarships for the students.

The program took place in a joyful atmosphere with artistic performances from the students and BSL members.

The meaningful trip left the BSL members with many cherished memories, not only the innocent eyes and cheerful smiles of the students of Hoa Tan Secondary School, but more importantly, the spirit of contributing to society and working together towards sustainable development of BSL.
