On April 27, 2023, at the Head Office of BIDV-SuMi TRUST Leasing Co., Ltd (BSL), BSL Trade Union (BSL) held a Union Congress for the term 2023-2028.

Obey the direction of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), the agreement of the Board of Executive (BoE) of BIDV-SuMi TRUST Leasing Co., Ltd (BSL), BSL Trade Union (2018-2023) for the 2018-2023 term prepared the contents of the Congress in accordance with the Trade Union Charter and the instructions of the Trade Union at all levels.

On April 27, 2023, BSL Trade Union Congress for the term 2023-2028 officially took place. The meeting has the participation of representatives of BoE, the Executive Committee of the BSL Community for the 2018-2023 term, and all union members through direct and online channels from 03 branches of BSL Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh.  

The 2nd BSL Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028 summarizes the results of the 2018-2023 term and sets directions and tasks from 2023-2028.

Evaluation of the results for the term 2018-2023

Along with the establishment of BSL in May 2017, BSL Trade Union was also officially established. In 2018, the BSL Trade Union had only 67 members, but by 2023, the number of union members has increased to 127, accounting for about 87% of the total number of employees of BSL. They are the core force contributing to BSL’s positive performance.

Although there are still many challenges due to the new company and difficult economic context, in the period of 2018-2023, BSL Trade Union remains a positive contribution to the business performance of the company, specifically: (i) Motivating union members – labor and coordinating with the Company to organize events, successfully completing the business plan of BSL set in the period from 2019-2022; (ii) focusing on taking care employee’s life quality and protecting their rights; (iii) organizing bonding activities; (iv) actively participate in company and social activities.

Mission orientation for the term 2023-2028

Based on BSL’s vision for 2027, BSL Trade Union Congress identified the slogan for the term 2023-2028 as “Promoting solidarity and creativity; constantly striving for innovation of each individual and for the sustainable development of BSL!”. On the basis of achievements, BSL Trade Union identified the existing issues and remaining tasks in the old term through the Report and set the task for the development goals for the term 2023-2028.

Union members contribute ideas at the Congress

Listening to comments from union members, BSL Trade Union has set specific tasks for the development goals of the term 2023-2028.

Firstly, continue to accompany and protect the rights of employees;

Second, build a united – strong – comprehensive company;

Third, promote movement activities;

Fourthly, build a healthy entertainment environment for employees;

Fifth, constantly make efforts for the advancement of employees.

Election of Executive Committee for the term 2023-2028

Union members participate in the election for the Executive Committee of the BSL Trade Union for the term 2023-2028.

The Congress was continued by the election of the Executive Committee for the term 2023-2028. Elections were conducted fairly in accordance with regulations. Based on the results, there are 7 members to the Executive Committee of the BSL term 2023-2028.
