With the message "Million hearts - Sharing the beat", the "BIDV Smile - Warm New Year for the poor 2020" award is a noble humanitarian program in response to the Month of Action for the Poor.
From 9-30 / 11/2019, Vietnam Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) will organize a run for "BIDV Smile - Warm New Year for the poor 2020". This is a free event for everyone, to encourage the spirit of sports and the spirit of action for the poor in the community.
BIDV organized the tournament with the purpose of mobilizing officials, customers, the public and the community to contribute to support Tet gifts for the poor on the occasion of Canh Ty Lunar New Year by participating in the run. This is an activity to promote the spirit of "good leaves protect the worn-out leaves" of the nation as well as BIDV's tradition of implementing social security programs for many years.
With the message "Million hearts - Sharing the beat", the "BIDV Smile - Warm New Year for the poor 2020" award is a noble humanitarian program in response to the Month of Action for the Poor.
The tournament will be held online, using the Strava sports software application , on the website BIDVrun.com . Employees in the BIDV system, BIDV customers and the public can register to participate individually or as a team / group, and are free to perform outdoor walking / running activities on time and arbitrary locations. With every 1 kilometer of valid running track, BIDV commits to spend VND 1,000 to VND 3,000 corresponding to the program to give Tet gifts to the poor in 2020. All achievements of the athletes are redeemable for social security gifts for the poor by BIDV.
According to the program's rules, high-ranking individuals will receive attractive prizes such as high-end sports shoes, sports shirts, sport bags or eco-friendly cloth bags of the program. For the collective, the prize is the number of kilometers awarded corresponding to the amount of money contributed to the poor from VND 10-50 million / team.
Participating in the tournament, the athletes not only built a healthy lifestyle for themselves, created a physical training and sports movement in the community, but most importantly gave love and contributed Tet gifts for thousands of difficult families in Vietnam to have a warm, full Tet. The organizers are expected to collect 5 billion from this run.
BIDV expects that the program will continue to promote the tradition of implementing "For the poor" social security in the BIDV system and at the same time spread good things, human values in life.
Giving Tet gifts to the poor is an annual meaningful activity that has been carried out by BIDV for many years nationwide. Since 2009, BIDV has donated more than 600,000 gifts with a total value of over VND 160 billion to poor people across the country every Tet to Spring.
